Special
Needs.
Keweenaw
Excursions seeks, to the extent feasible, to accommodate
guests with special needs so they are able to enjoy
our ship. For example, service animals are permitted
on board the ship. In situations where a guest with
special needs, such as a guest in a wheelchair, would
be unable to be comfortably accommodated due to vessel
safety barriers and other criteria, we may find it necessary
to ask the guest to bring along a companion to assist
or make alternative arrangements. Guests who have any
type of medical, physical or other special needs are
requested contact our Office (906-482-0884) to discuss
the details of their specific special needs.
Safety.
It
is Keweenaw Excursions' utmost concern to provide our
guests with a safe and enjoyable cruise. The Keweenaw
Star meets, or exceeds, every Coast Guard regulation
for passenger carrying ships. Our captains and crew
are licensed, experienced sea men, with
extensive knowledge of the Great Lakes and Portage Canal.

or impractical, you may turn in your ticket for a full
refund.

Excursions’ on board bar boasts a variety of beer, wine
and mixed drinks. We also offer bottled
water, specialty coffees and non-alcoholic beverages.
Alcohol and Consumption policies.
Guests
are prohibited from bringing alcoholic beverages on
board the ship. Consumption of alcohol on board:
The minimum age for the purchase and/or consumption
of alcoholic beverages while on board is 21 years of

the guest is 21, he/she will require picture identification
prior to serving the guest. Keweenaw Excursions

Lost and Found.
The
Lost and Found is located at Keweenaw Excursions' Ticket
Office. If you've lost anything, you should report the
item to any crew member and ask if it's turned up yet.
If you find anything, please turn it in to any crew
member. After the ship docks, all found and unclaimed
articles will be located at the Keweenaw Excursions
Ticket Office, Dee Stadium, Houghton MI 49931.
Seasickness.
Seasickness
is very rare because of the Keweenaw Star's size and
weight, and the protection provided by the Portage Canal.
However, if you are highly prone to seasickness,
another adventure may be more suitable, or, there are
a variety of seasick medicines available and should
be considered prior to making your plans. The
Keweenaw Star does not carry medicines onboard.
Inclement Weather.
Weather
is a big part of your cruise experience. Some
weather conditions make your cruise more interesting,
but Lake Superior can get very fierce and treacherous
even in the summer. It is the captains' duty to
ensure your safe passage, therefore,
Keweenaw Excursions reserves the right to alter or
cancel any scheduled cruise.
